Divisional Controller, Operations

Our team at Logic Consulting Group is excited to share a search we are conducting for a Divisional Controller to join their team. Our client is a rapidly growing Pre-IPO with their corporate headquarters in Orange County.  The Divisional Controller will be responsible for accounting, budgeting and financial reporting while managing a small team.  This role requires experience with full cycle accounting combined with exceptional financial analysis skills.  

  • Reviews and posts monthly journal entries for fulfillment and collateral services division.
  • Completes year-end closing and assists in directing annual physical inventory observation.
  • Generates and distributes detailed financial statements to management on a monthly basis in accordance with GAAP.
  • Researches and responds to income statement inquiries as needed with complete explanations and supporting schedules.
  • Assists with ERP post-implementation tasks and problem resolution as needed.
  • Prepares rolling forecast and bridge explanations for variances from prior forecast, budget, and prior year.
  • Provides financial analysis for Operations monthly and/or as requested.
  • (Required): Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Inventory management and cost of sales reporting experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset, and payroll.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Public accounting experience or prior employment with public or medium to large audited companies
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred. 
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX experience a plus.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, Vlookups and strong keyboard commands
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers
