Senior Accountant

Currently assisting well established global company in their search for a Senior Accountant to partner closely with the Controller and other members of the leadership team to engage strategic, financial, and operational plans. Our client is in need of an accounting professional with strong business acumen and financial analysis skills to ensure the success of the companies strategies.
  • Perform various month-end general ledger account reconciliations including long-term debt, equity, accounts receivable, accrued expenses and intercompany accounts
  • Prepare all necessary month-end, quarter-end and year-end supporting documentation for the accounting close
  • Participate in the preparation of various financial statements, reports and analyses for the US wholesale, retail and e-commerce businesses
  • Develop, analyze and interpret accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the business
  • Interact with various departments within the Company to ensure appropriate treatment of transactions in the financial statements
  • Assist finance management with building US operating expense budgets/forecasts
  • Assist with reviews of budget vs. actual results for operating expenses and work various department heads to provide explanations of variances
  • Provide support and aid to internal and external audits
  • Perform all duties under Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) guidelines
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree from an accredited university in business, finance or related field of study
  • Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • 2-3 years of Public Accounting experience and 1-2 years of industry experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of finance principals and concepts based on US GAAP
  • Ability to work independently and effectively analyze and solve problems
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Experience in the development and implementation of business-wide finance strategies and programs
  • Flexibility to perform effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with emphasis on meeting tight deadlines
  • A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive computer experience including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, advanced Excel skills required.
